As a photographer, there are few things more fulfilling than being able to capture an event that holds great significance and impact. Recently, I had the honor of photographing the Got Your Six Summit held by the Bob Woodruff Foundation in San Antonio, Texas. The event was nothing short of awe-inspiring, and I am excited to share my experience with you through this blog post. I will also be sharing some of my images from the day!

The Got Your Six Summit is an annual event that brings together veteran organizations, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss support and advocacy for veterans and their families. The event is based on the Got Your Six campaign, which is all about bridging the military-civilian divide and empowering veterans. Attending the summit, you could feel the passion and dedication that everyone there had to support and honor our nation’s veterans.

One of the most powerful moments of the day was the personal stories that were shared. It was incredible to hear from veterans, their families, and caregivers about the challenges they faced and how they overcame them.

Another highlight of the day was the emphasis on collaboration and partnership. The summit brought together a diverse group of people from different organizations and industries, all working together towards a common goal. It was inspiring to see such a strong sense of unity and teamwork, which is essential in achieving lasting and impactful change.

Throughout the day, I had the privilege of photographing various sessions. Capturing the expressions, emotions, and interactions between participants was a wonderfully fulfilling task. It was incredibly moving to see the connections formed and the sense of camaraderie among those in attendance.
