It’s such an honor to be invited to capture one of the most special days in a couple’s life. When I was asked to photograph a micro wedding/elopement in San Francisco, my heart soared with joy. From the moment I arrived, I couldn’t wait to document the beauty of the city and the love that existed between Brandon and Lauren. With both film and digital photography at hand, I couldn’t wait to get started. This couple was ready to embark on their forever journey in one of the most gorgeous cities in the world.
The wedding day kicked off early in the morning, and San Francisco City Hall was our first location. The stunning architecture at City Hall never ceases to take my breath away. The couple kept it simple, and they dressed to impress in their elegant attire. I was able to take stunning photos with the natural light reflected in the hall. The warmth of their love filled the space, and I couldn’t capture it all fast enough. After they said ‘I Do,’ they had the sweetest first dance as newlyweds to the sound of violin.
From there we headed to the Golden Gate Bridge for a quick photo session. Although it was cold, the Lauren and Brandon were thrilled for the adventure. The day came together perfectly – as you can tell by the photos!
We later headed to Ghirardelli Square where a small, intimate dinner awaited us. It was attended only by the couple’s closest family and friends. It was beautifully decorated, and the lights added a touch of romance to the ambiance. I was able to take some candid photos of the couple and their loved ones during dinner. Their love shone through everything, and each moment was one to cherish.
The day went by far too quickly, and San Francisco proved to be a perfect location for the couple’s micro wedding. It was incredibly special and an emotional experience to capture their love through a camera. Being able to photograph their special day in a stunning location will always be something I cherish. This couple made everything so easy – their love was evident in their interactions and every shared moment will be forever etched in my memory.
A micro wedding/elopement is perfect for couples looking for a more intimate and personal experience. Every moment is your own, and you get to share it only with the people you love the most. It’s also an excellent way to have a smaller budget, making it possible to have your dream wedding location. San Francisco City hall is an excellent example of a gorgeous yet not too expensive location where you can have a dream wedding. You don’t have to compromise style and elegance on your big day.
I feel so fortunate to have been part of capturing this couple’s love story. It was an unforgettable day, surrounded by San Francisco’s elegance, with special memories shared between the couple and their closest loved ones. It was a beautiful, romantic, and intimate wedding that exemplified just what a small wedding should be. Being able to photograph their day was an absolute pleasure, and I wish them all the happiness the world can offer as they start their forever journey together.
